A poster-making competition titled “HACK THE HEAT” was organized for school students by the Innovation Hub of the Regional Science Centre, Coimbatore, in collaboration with the Department of Microbiology, Hindusthan College of Arts and Science on 31.07.2025. The objective was to raise awareness about global warming and propose solutions to mitigate its impact. The event began with a welcome address by the District Science Officer, Mr. R. Ahilan. Dr. Lali Crowther, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Hindusthan College, delivered an explanatory address about the event.Students from various schools participated, showcased their creativity through posters, and explained their ideas. The posters highlighted the consequences of global warming and suggested potential solutions.Prizes and certificates of appreciation were awarded to the winners and participants by Mr. R. Ahilan (District Science Officer), Ms. Hemalatha (Deputy Director, Bureau of Indian Standards - BIS), and Mr. C. R. Elangovan (President, Arivukkeni Foundation).Professors, Teachers and students took part in the event, which was coordinated by Mr. K. Leninbarathi, Mentor ,Innovation Hub of Regional Science Centre.
